The Inaugural Living Faith Symposium, organized by the National Seminary of Our Lady of Lanka, was held on 31st October 2024 under the theme:
“The Relevance of Religious Faith in a Secularized Society in Sri Lanka.”

The event was graced by Most Rev. Dr. Devsritha Valence Mendis, Bishop of Kandy and Chairman of the Catholic National Commission for Seminarians, Clergy, Religious, and Secular Institutes, who participated as the Chief Guest.

Keynote addresses were delivered by:

  • Rev. Dr. J. C. Paul Rohan, Dean of the Department of Christian Civilization, University of Jaffna
  • Mrs. Mallika Rajaratnam, Senior Lecturer, University of Peradeniya

The symposium saw the participation of priests, religious brothers and sisters, venerable Buddhist theros, university students, and scholars from across the country. It was a vibrant and intellectually enriching occasion.

This successful event was organized by the National Seminary community under the guidance of Very Rev. Fr. Quintus Fernando, Rector of the National Seminary.
